{"id":1,"date":"2013-02-03T23:13:35","date_gmt":"2013-02-03T23:13:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/capitalfieldarchers.com.au\/?p=1"},"modified":"2023-02-24T11:38:23","modified_gmt":"2023-02-24T00:38:23","slug":"hello-world","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/capitalfieldarchers.com.au\/?p=1","title":{"rendered":"Archery with a difference"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/capitalfieldarchers.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/We-are-back.jpg\"><br><\/a>Club Update: 13 November 2022<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Next Shoot<\/strong>&nbsp;is our <strong>2022 Branch Shoot on 19\/20 November.<\/strong>&nbsp; Camping, showers and toilets available with catering for breakfast and lunch only &#8211; no Saturday dinner so you will need to BYO.&nbsp; Access is from noon Friday so plan your trip now.&nbsp; Check the facebook link for registration details and more up to the minute information as this site is not updated as regularly.&nbsp; You will need to register by Wed 16th November.&nbsp; Hopefully we can get to enjoy a few days respite from the rain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hope to see you there!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PLEASE NOTE!!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Directions to the club provided below for visitors.&nbsp; They are from Tharwa which is a village that is just past the southern suburban limit of Canberra.&nbsp; For all attendees it will be best to come in from the Smiths Road route and give Sunshine Crossing a miss &#8211; it is actually officially closed at the moment and has had water over the top for months now.&nbsp; With rain and storms still about water levels will remain high for some time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">In addition sand has been washed onto the concrete causeway which makes for a bumpy crossing.&nbsp; It can be tricky when the upstream markers are under water as well as the crossing is less defined for those that are not familiar with it.&nbsp; See below for more information on how to get to the club if you need directions.&nbsp; Smiths Road has had some work done recently with sealing and some grading so is getting better to travel on in any case.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">2022 Shoot Schedule is up to date in Facebook so check there for the latest information as this page is not updated as regularly.&nbsp; Also there will be current messaging re weather, cancellations, road access etc. on the Facebook page so always check there first.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>For members please make sure your ABA and CFA memberships are up-to-date.&nbsp; Payment for CFA membership can be taken on the day along with shoot fees.&nbsp; Renewals for 2022\/23 are now due.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Remember:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Food and drink is still bring your own &#8211; no catering available at the moment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The ground still may be wet and slippery in areas so bring good footwear\/boots &#8211; also snakes have been sighted recently as well!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Hope to see everyone there!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Remember&nbsp;<\/strong>&#8211; there will be a briefing before each shoot which will provide a run down on what is expected from all participants.&nbsp; At the moment we are still doing self-catering only &#8211; so remember to bring some lunch and snacks along. Shoot fees $10 for adults, $5 juniors. There is some equipment available if you need to hire gear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As previously noted we have amended our membership year to run from 1July 2021 to 30 June 2022. This is a permanent change and aligns our membership year with our financial year.&nbsp; Easiest way to pay is via transfer to the club bank account.&nbsp; See facebook for club account details if you don&#8217;t have them already.&nbsp; We can take cash payments if this works for you.&nbsp; There is a membership renewal\/application form under the Club Documents page on this website. Even if you are simply renewing please fill out the form and email (to prescfacanberra@gmail.com) or bring it in as we then know we have the most up to date contact information and you are official for insurance and other administrative purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em style=\"line-height: 1.4em;\"><span style=\"line-height: 1.4em;\">CFA location direction (please click on the image for larger view).<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/capitalfieldarchers.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/How-to-get-to-CFA-002.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" src=\"http:\/\/capitalfieldarchers.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/How-to-get-to-CFA-002-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"How to get to CFA (002)\" class=\"wp-image-849\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Directions from Tharwa Bridge<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Recommended Route for now<\/strong> &#8211; At this time the best route for accessing the club is&nbsp;to travel through the village of Tharwa and turn left onto Smith&#8217;s Road about 1 km south of Tharwa.&nbsp; Keep going along Smith&#8217;s Road, past Angle Crossing Road turn-off on your left and turning right into the eastern end of Sunshine Road (on your right) a little further on. Our gate will be visible on your right about 500m along Sunshine Road.
